hello september!

my gosh... its september!!!!!

yes i've been slack as with the blog thang...


came back from carnarvon the week before, was an ok trip for the rust rating...

i have taken pics, but i havent uploaded them just yet :p

yeah, life is usual.... still looking for another job, dragging on in the week.... feeling sleepy, tired, annoyed from work :p but yeah, you cant really expect too much from me.

life is kinda tip toeing here and there... i havent really been doing anything thats exciting...

am thinking of going rock climbing, well the indoor one! not too sure when...

going to din din with satoko and chia tomoro night! should be good, havent really interacted with people in a while, that doesnt sound too good now does it?

yeah, i guess you can say i have isolated myself from peeps out of work that is.... kinda sad in a way, like the weekend comes around and you just can't be stuffed because you're tired, you have the domestic chores to do, general laziness creeps in and you see that you're weekend just flys by and another week begins! kinda draggy...
then i wonder what am i doing with my time?

well, hopefully won't be like that for the coming weeks!

what is with the phenomena of facebook?
my sister today asked me if i was on it, this is my eldest sis, getting married next year, whom i dont exactly see as "cool", i mean coz she's older than me and all, and she's on FACEBOOK!?

nothing wrong with that, i just DONT get it! its another friendster kinda friends network thing, apparently its better and cooler like an ICQ thing... frankly, i can't be stuffed on joining! :p many invited in my junk mailbox, but i mean, why should people contact me and know where i am and what im doing? that is, i mean long lost school peoples who i dont even contact?

its like myspace.... i joined, but i dont use it... i just dont have the time to waste on those kinda sites. but they are interesting to sneak around and look at people who i "know" but not really know and see what they're up to! but yeah.... i dont get it, my blog is enough to keep me happy with some kinda internet interaction!

friendster was enough for me, then there was some other thing i remember getting sent, zango, or something, i dunno, i think that was a complete blow out...

i figured, why bother putting my personal information online for people to find me, maybe i dont want them to find me, maybe its just a personal choice that i dont want strangers reading about me or looking at a photo of me. its just a thought, and i dont really want to think about.

thats just my little spurt on that topic...

moving on to wedding cakes.... weddings in general... expensive events, but then, i guess they jack up the prices because they can! i mean, how often is the average mary jane going to get married? unless if she's totally loaded or if she gets divorced heaps and goes for the rich ones?

i went along with my sis today to go try some cakes, now i didnt really have much of an expectation, but if its free, why not? it was only really bit size pieces of 5 different "flavours" nothing too dramatic or different, just the standard mud choc, mud choc jaffa, mud white choc, mud white choc with lemon and caramel mud. so yeah, there wasnt too much that was exciting to see, but they did taste pretty good.

it was a family run business, so if were to get a cake, they seemed friendly enough! sis was looking for 80 pieces, simple, classical looking cake, with iced flowers (it was really pwretty) cost including delivery $620! well, to me, its pretty standard, but sheeesh, cakes are not cheap! there were really good ideas like cupcakes, like fancy looking ones, but they were expensive!!! starting at $7.50 per cupcake to like $22!!! but they REALLY were impressive...

i mean, i guess u would fork out the money in a way, because they looked great and its not like you get married everyday right?

so yeah... but u have to be practical too. most people dont really eat cake at weddings, so you dont want to get a massive impressive 10 tier cake when u dont have that many guests... just a waste of cake!

so something nice... or a fake cake!!!

thats my little splurge on wedding cakes too!

anyway, hopefully i can write more in the week!
