SATURDAY!

was a bit whacky!

we wanted to start the morning off nice and early.... we wanted to go to the markets (canningvale since i was south) and bubs wanted to go early to garden city to get a hair cut (coz it gets pretty busy there usually....the quene is mad!)

soooo, got up 7ish, and drive to canningvale.... it was CLOSED!!! and its SATURDAY! i was thinking, what the? wouldnt they be losing so much business? i dunno, but then bubs was saying that they are wholesale too... so that was a point and im sure that they'd want to take an easter break too!

so drove to garden city and was abt 8:30ish.... i went to kmart, coz i had got this maybelline mascara but i had accidently got BROWN black! doh! omg, i didnt realise that in the early morning, so many ladies lining up for returns or refunds! weird....

anyway, walkie walkies.... bubs got some business shirts at myers and dj's since there were sales on, i could NOT find anything!!!! oh well....

we went to tandy's coz bubs wanted to get an audio cable, and also a bluetooth, well, the bluetooth was for me actually, and we knew that chia's boy, adrian works there! he's such a enthusiatic friendly guy! haahaa, one of those people full of energy and always happy! hehehe, so he helped with the bluetooth and we even got a discount! so nice!!!! we were also lucky, coz i think it was his last saturday, or he wasnt suppose to be working that day! so yah!

coz we couldnt go to the canningvale markets, we ended up going to subiaco markets, coz i really wanted to get some fresh produce....

and it was pretty packed! i went to one store, but it wasnt as busy, but then i needed to get fruits, so the store next to it we went, omg, soooo many more customers and the quene to pay, soooo long! omg... u could tell they had good stuff and they had the business.... i think we would've had to wait for a while, coz i dont think they had enough cashiers... anyway the people infront of us has pretty full baskets!!

crazy....

anyway, i was pretty happy though, coz its always so much cheaper to buy fruit and veg at the markets!

that arvo, we also went to the chinese store to get some groceries, and stopped at super cheap auto to get some car globes, i got this chamois to clean the car and bubs got this leather protector conditioner stuff for his car seats!

after that, went to JB hifi!! YAAY! hehehe.... had a look around, of course bubs was more interested in looking at the PS3 and the games and also the massive tv with the PS3 demo and the graphics were ok... i got a 1GB flashdrive for $32! i think thats soooo cheap! and i got this pocket top for my lappy.... its this funky like...lap top bag that sits on ur lap, and it doesnt warm up on u, its a comfort and convenient thing bubs was telling me abt, and u can hide ur cable and all your extra bits at the front, but u cant see it, so its cool! its like... to me looks like a pillow, to bubs, he think it looks like a turtle shell!

it came in grey, orange and green. they didnt have orange, but i didnt want it! i got grey, coz the green looked a bit off!

its pretty funky i had admit, and its convenient and pretty sturdy.... like... its not REALLY hard, but its hard enough to protect your lappy.

bubs got me to help him rub that stuff into his car seats! it was kinda fun, smelt a bit like almonds, or at least it reminded me of almonds!!!

it was pretty funny coz we had to move the seats, and bubs went to go get a knife, and i was like, wat the? he was getting some coins out from the bottom of the seat! it was funny! coz we both ended up finding $4.80 in coins!!!! LOL and its funny coz its not bubs's coins, coz he doesnt carry coins, so it must have been the previous owners' coins!!! lol.... and it wasnt me in the passenger side, coz they were really inside underneath the seat!



heehee.... so i thought that was pretty funny!

that night, we went out to diner to The New Bridges Restaurant in North Fremantle.

it was, surprisingly GOOOD... like really good, i would go back and i would recommend you peeps to try!

its in the ebook, with one main get one free, so yah!

we had booked on tuesday, and originally we wanted to go to Julio's which is a italian restaurant in west perth, but they werent open this saturday. we also wanted to go to oyster bar on the beach, but then it would be better to go on a weekday to get the cheap oysters! then we decided on chantrelle's at jessica's which is in the hyatt, they were FULLY booked! and this is calling on a tuesday! anyway, tried calling to go to the mussel bar in fremantle, and booked, until a minute after i booked, the girl was saying they actually had a big function and we couldnt go. PFFT! soooo annoying!!!

lol, i was bit sad, coz i had gone to all the websites and checked out their menus, and i was like, awww.... i really wanna go!!!!

so then we decided on the new bridges.... i wasnt expecting too much, i checked out the menu online. warning, this place does NOT have a large range for their mains....

buuuut, didnt matter.... so on arrival, it was weird, coz the door enterance, it was a solid door, and it was shut, i was like...hmm... this looks weird, and their were door bells on the outside! weird! but i just opened the door to enter, ahhh, it was open! walked in, OooOoOoOO INTERESTING....

funky inside, dime lights, but i think the interior decorations really made it look funky!!!

service was superb, and the food was prompt! i think it was also coz we were there at 7! toilets were also funky and clean too! hehehe...

dime lights and candle light too, it was nice romantic feel, not too noisy there....

it didnt look very big where we were, but on the way to the toilets, theres like a back bit where there were more tables. there was also a bit that looked like a lounge, looked good for drinks or something.

anyway, bubs got a corona and i got a bridges cocktail! entree was Morton Bay Bug & Coriander Ravioli in Crustacean Bisque and Sesame Crumbed Tiger Prawns, Avocado, Rice Crisp & Japanese Salad.

the ravioli were like big wontons! but u could really taste the meat, like it was some cheap mashed up stuff, u can taste the morton bay bug! like crayfish!

and the tiger prawns, didnt taste any sesame, but it was DELISH as well!

for mains, bubs got MSA Rib-Eye, Potato Rosti, Wilted Garlic Spinach & Mushroom Jus
and for me i got Porchini Mushroom Risotto with Scallops.

it was REALLY really nice! i never usually eat risotto, im scared it not as tasty or its dry, but it was really tasty and nice and moist! omg, bub's steak! it was FREAKIN' biiiig! like i would say it was about 2 INCHES thick, as in from top to bottom!!! it was BIG BIG and quite long, i dont think the pic i took justifies what im trying to explain, but it was MASSIVE!!! but tasty and cooked JUST right, thats what bubs thought! but i dun like medium :p hehehe.... but it did look real yummo!

piccos! interior.. there were these like metal ball things on the ceiling but no light, but very funky.... and fake bamboo on the side.





then after dinner, we went to east perth, and i've never been to east perth, as in the grassy bit.... like properly, but it really super nice at night, and the water was nice too!

we saw this waterbird, dunno what kind, but it was FUNKY looking! we were trying to take a pic of it! but it was a smart bird and buggard away when we were trying to get close to it....

it was such a good dinner and night!

that was saturday :)

no choccies yet or hot crossed buns.... im not a fan of sultanas so i havent had the need to buy any :p

heehee....

easter has been go so far, weather has been quite whacky, but it is april now, so hopefully will stay cool.....
